2025 Posters and Lightning Talks
We are soliciting proposals for posters and lightning talks for the PacTrans Conference in Portland, Oregon, to be held October 10, 2025. This annual event connects PacTrans research to practice, with a focus on developing human-centered and transformative multimodal mobility solutions for the Pacific Northwest. This year’s conference theme is Connecting Communities: Improving Mobility under Uncertainty.
The Conference
The annual PacTrans conference brings together researchers, faculty, students, professionals, and community members. The location rotates between the PacTrans campuses. This year’s conference is being hosted by TREC at Portland State University. The conference will take place on Friday October 10 on the PSU campus in downtown Portland, followed by a student-focused conference on October 11. The conference sessions will be eligible for continuing education credit, including AICP.
The planning committee is soliciting proposals for posters and lightning talks.
Lightning Talks
Lightning talks will be five (5) minutes long and sessions will be organized by theme. We are soliciting talks for the following conference themes: Smart Mobility Analytics; Human-Centered Mobility; and Resilient Infrastructure for Mobility.
Posters
Selected posters will be displayed during the conference. A poster session will give presenters the opportunity to talk about their poster subject with attendees. The session will take place in the afternoon, with no conflicting scheduling. Space is limited. The committee will prioritize posters that fit one of the conference themes: Smart Mobility Analytics; Human-Centered Mobility; and Resilient Infrastructure for Mobility.
Timeline
Proposal deadline: Wednesday August 27, 2025
Proposal submitters will be notified of the status of their proposal no later than September 2, 2025.
Presenter Registration
Poster and lightning talk presenters will be able to register for the October 10 conference at a discounted rate of $75 (over 50% discount).
